The purpose of the Chemistry Club is to present a glimpse of chemistry as a career to the students who have a special interest in this field. Bringing in chemists and chemical engineers to give talks, and by visiting local industries, where the members can see chemists at work, the purpose is fulfilled. The club meets once a month under the sponsorship of Mr. Quiring. The officers for the year were president, Russell Chambers, secretary, Janice Street, treasurer, Jerry Burge. . Q CAL The C. Q. club, an amateur radio club, has returned to Wyandotte this year under the sponsorship of Mr. Eckhoff. The plan and hope of the C. Q. club is to have o radio station on the air. During their two years membership the boys go on ten field trips in the six state area of Arkansas, Okla- homa, Kansas, Missouri, lowa, and Nebraska. The boys are accompanied on their trips by professional scientists in order to provide training methods in research and to become acquainted with science in different fields. An important part of each boys training is the development of original research problems prepared in a form for publication. At the regular meetings the members practice these skills with swords and the other necessary equipment needed for fencing.
