Eighty pair of marching feet belonging to the members of the Wyandotte Band in their snappy grey and scarlet uniforms, play a very important part in school activities. They play for football games, basketball games and pep assemblies. The band made colorful appearances and left good impressions at the American Royal Parade, Oklahoma Day at the Royal, Fire Prevention Parade, graduation exrcer- cises, and their spring concert. They take one trip out of town a year. This year they traveled to the Lawrence-Wyandotte game where they participated in the half time activities. The band is under the direction of R. A. Samuelson. Ol:f-ICGYS for the band are: president, Jim Jamesg vice-president, Don Downes: secretary, Jetta Sandersg treasurer, Paul Corbett: sergeants-at-arms, Terry Williams and Pete Marquez. Mr, Samuelson also teaches music theory and beginning band, orchestra and strings. The man- agers assisting Mr. Samuelson are Richard Grove, Don Downes, Eddie Coleman, Richard Mountford, Jere Hodshire and Harold Short.
