Led by Bob Hay, president, the Student Council is one of the most active organizations in school. Assisting Bob and Miss Judith Stapleton, sponsor, are the other officers: Betsy Shankland, vice-presidentg Carol Braly, secretary, and Carey Muncy, treasurer. Duties of members of the Student Council, elected one from each homeroom, consist of selling tickets, collecting money, and serving on committees throughout the year. Council sponsored activities this year included a collection at Thanksgiving time for the Life Line Mission, mixers, Lost and Found, and Christmas dance. In collaboration with the Courtesy Club, music for dancing was provided during lunch periods on Wednesday. For their part in making this another successful year at Wyandotte, the Student Council, its sponsor, officers and members, deserve much credit. Page

They en- joyed many activities this year which included a spring party, picnic, Prom, Baccalaureate service a breakfast and graduation day. Leading a fine class this year were Dick Harman, presidentg George Laddish, vice- president, Susie MacNeal, secretary, Janet Larson, treasurer, and Mr. Francis Swaim, sponsor. EL 55 UF 1955 Left to right: Mr. Marion Wools, Nancy Blackwell, Clyde Pierce, Carol Van Hooser, Bob Shanklin. Sponsored by Mr. Marion Wools, the sopho- more class was the largest in Wyandotte. Its 709 members, mainly coming from Northwest and Central Junior, are eagerly looking forward to becoming upper classmen. A highlight of the year was the class party held in November. The class was ably led in their many success- ful activities by the following officers: Clyde Pierce, presidentg Bob Shanklin, vice-president, Carol Van Hooser, secretary, and Nancy Black- well, treasurer.
