The Classical Club, a fast progressing club, is composed of first year, second year, and former Latin students. The meetings, which were held on the first Monday of each month, functioned as the former Roman State. The projects included buying Christmas gifts for the Children's Home, a Roman Ban- quet, a Roman election, and attending a travelogue on Greece at the Town Hall. Each meeting the mem- bers wore some garment or emblem of Roman times. The club officers are: counsul, Ruth Ann Smo- therman, vice-consul, Bill Pendergrassg scriba, Benita Branchg quaestor, Julia Ann Herrick, historian, Dave Hiebertg reporter, Carol Andersong sergeant-at-arms, Bob Shelly. The Biology Club is composed of Sophomores who are interested in the study of Biology. Meetings, held twice a month, consist of motion pictures, talks, and microsocopic study. The annual Christmas party and Spring picnic were the highlights of the year. The presents for the gift exchange are always laid around the Christmas Tree decorated with biological specimens. This year's officers were Sandra Parish, president, Rose Mary Feden, secretaryg and Dale Strohl, treasurer. The sponsor is Miss Gladys Flnrlz

The Art Club consists of those students interested in the different phases of art. Initiation into the club was held in October, and came to a grand climax with a party in Recital Hall. Mr. Bowen from the Kansas City Art Institute, spoke on window displays at one of the meetings. By earning points on projects done outside of school, a member may win a certificate, felt letter, or gold pin.
