In the Assembly they were introduced to the student body then were requested to remove their shoes. After a mad mixup they all finally found their own shoes. Then the upper classmen lined up in the hall and all the Freshmen individually introduced themselves. The whole student body later enjoyed refreshments furnished by the upper class- men. The usual procedure for the initiation of the boys followed at the noon hour. Each boy was run through the belt line and the girls later re- ceived their share of initiation, too. Each girl was required to wear her dress inside-out and backwards. Their hair was braided in small pig-tails all over their head and a good supply of lipstick was smeared over their faces.
