The year 1979 has been proclaimed the International Year of the Child'1 and few people have assisted more students to come and go than the individual to whom this year's VALLIAN is dedicated. Her maiden name was Brown, and she has resided most of her life in the Wyalusing area. She graduated from Wyalusing High School, Class of '54. Following high school graduation she entered the United States Air Force where she traveled extensively and acquired a variety of secretarial skills. Miss Brown changed her name on April 29, 1970, when she wed her husband William. They now reside on their farm in Sugar Run with their three children. She enjoys horseback riding, cake decorating, and country music. Her dream is to vacation in Hawaii and someday retire in Tennessee. This year marks the twentieth year of her employ at W. V.H. S. It has often been said and now let it be written that, This building could not function without her, a statement which she will modestly deny. Her modesty can only be surpassed by her congeniality and efficiency. The VALLIAN staff is proud to dedicate the 1979 edition to our high school secretary, friend, and one fine lady--Mrs. Donna Lutz. 9
