Kerrick Kenneth Taylor Walter Mitten Leland Thompson l t f 5 2 l s V i i l love it, were the words used by Foreign Exchange Student Gertrud Nordberg when she was asked to describe this country. The year of study enjoyed by Trudy, as we all learned to call her, began when her teacher back home handed her a blank application. Coming to Wyalusing from her native Salleftea, Sweden, last August, her warm smile and personality soon won her a host of friends. During her stay, she has shouldered a heavy speaking schedule on top of her studies and school activities. Chosen for scholastic ability, personality and maturity, Trudy came to us through the American Field Service. Her hobbies which include traveling, foreign languages, sports and reading have proved .a tremendous help to her during her year in America. In order to take subjects not available at home, Trudy has studied with almost all the senior high classes. She says kids are about the same in both countries and seem to dress very much alike. The senior class would like to express its sincere appreciation to the Earl Browning family for inviting Trudy to stay with them and treating her like another daughter. lt is truly difficult for us to express our feelings as Trudy returns to Swedeng for knowledge, personality, a winning smile, and enthusiasm for studies, people, sports and books, a link be- tween two great countries and new understanding between young people. f MW CA FIETERIIA WURKERS SEATED: Ruth Knolles, Retha Meteer, Marquerite Milne, Marie Keeney.
