What Goes on Outside of Classes? Wy'east is suffering from growing pains. Between classes every nook and cranny is stuffed with students taking a breather from exhausting class work. Time is of the essence and every minute has to count, so the rest periods are filled with chatter as they catch up with the latest on this and that. Early morning finds students talking in the halls, congregating around the coke machine, and cramming for tests in the Cafe- teria. Above, a typical gathering of Maxine Hamada, Salley Cantrell, Marcia Diamond, Gloria Swann, Carolyn Whitaker, and Sheila Steager discussing the past weekend activities. John Benton and David Merz do a little cramming with assist- ance from Bill Deos. And as usual the popular as ever coke machine draws a crowd, except when it happens to be out of order.

Split Lunch Hour Incorporated in New Schedule The Case of the Over-crowded Cafeteria has been relieved by two, separate lunch half-hours. This part of Wy'east's growing pains has been caused by the en- larged enrollment. It became more and more difficult to serve the increasing number of students and seating room was also becoming difficult to find. The new school schedule was initiated to ease the cafeteria congestion by two lunch hours. Now service is faster, short lunch lines and plenty of seating room. ffT'! 'f ' From the expression, eating was a serious problem before the new schedule.
