This is the student governing body composed of the student body officers, elected room representatives, and the presidents of the organizations within the school. Working with the administration, student government directs the activities of the student body and its organizations. This year the Student Council undertook drives to collect food and clothing for the families of students whose homes had burned and also a clothing drive for an emergency area in Tennessee. Funds from the annual calendar drive, conducted jointly by the Booster Club and Student Council, went toward the purchase of a new public address system for the school. One of the last major activities of the Student Council was an evening of recreation for Hood River and Wy'east to build better relations between the two schools. tem Student council sells concession for basketball games 89
