PP. David Kollas, Mr. Woods, Tom Woods and Mr. Leffel at the Open House. Contest participation include winning the district skills con- test two years in a row. The speech winner, David Kollas placed third in the district. Wy'east Parlamentary team was judged fourth. Alan Halter and John Leffel, student teachers from O.S.C. helped our department considerably this year. David Kollas and Fritz Gangwer won trips to the National Con- vention at Kansas City. Kollas, Dick Larch, and Mr. Bowman and Mr. Leffel attended the State Convention at Medford, where David won a one-hundred dollar Union Pacific Scholarship. One hundred-seventy- three attended the first Parent-Son Ban- quet. The P.R.A. served and decorated. Lynn Rasmussen was awarded star chapter farmer. The F.F.A. purchased a new S2270 tractor this year. Their net worth is over 35000, not including the nine registered livestock chains. With these assets, a new full time instructor in the de partment and the additional space provided in the ex-wood shop, their future looks bright, indeed.
