CHEERLEADERS VARSITY CHEERLEADERS Judy Joy Ellen Higgens Myrtle Williams Jim Craig T-E-A-M. Our vivacious Cheer Leaders, in their snappy white uniforms, could be heard giving the Team Yell at the close of each game. Their responsibilities didn't end with just leading yells at the games. Many hours of practice were necessary to organize the various formations. Entertain- ing pep assemblies were planned before each game with yells, skits and band numbers. Everyone enjoyed the dances held after the games, which was another activity organized by the cheerleaders. Myrtle Williams, one of the Wy'east cheerleaders was chosen the winner of a survey sponsored by the Hood River News. The qualifications were enthusiasm, school spirit and ability in cheering. The squad was composed of Myrtle Williams, Judy Joy, Ellen Higgins and Jim Craig. JR. VARSITY CHEERLEADERS Gayle Wygant Marsha Aubert Kathy Sappington
