Cooperative Work Experience Cooperative Work Experience KCWEJ is a program designed to introduce students to the world of work. The program provides high school students with the opportunity of gaining experiences in occupations of their choice by sharing the resources of the community and the school. Students are enrolled for two to three hours per day, and spend this time on the job site learning about a specific job and related occupations. The CWE Program is open to any student in grades 9-12. Each student is placed in a career field in which he expresses an interest or ability. Students have the opportunity to benefit by working daily with people who are skilled at their jobs. The program also offers students a chance to develop job skills which they may use for getting work dur- ing summer vacations or upon graduation from high school. Over one hundred Wtirzburg High School students participated in Cooperative Work Experience. Students may choose from more than sixty training sites, some of which are pictured here.
