We, the senior class of 1960-61, humbly dedicate our yearbook, the Pioneer, to our beloved Mom and Dad. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for everything you have ever done in making our lives what they are today. As we grow older we now see more clearly and understand more fully the things you have sacrificed for us. When we were too little to realize and too innocent to know what life was all about you begun our training. You saw for us the gifts of life you would have us possess and the pitfalls you would have us shun and faithfully worked towards that goal. Your faith in us has been the guiding star that led us safely when the night of temptation set in. May we al- ways do the things that would bring credit to you which you so fully deserve. May all your hard work, unselfishness, loving kindness never seem to you to have been given to us in vain. We know the memories of childhood years spent with you will always bring joy to our hearts, smiles to our lips and tears to our eyes as we realize the days we spent under your loving care were the happiest days of our lives and many will be the time we will wish with all our hearts we could again live everyday over with you. May we ask forgiveness for every heartache, every worry, and every deed of unkindness we may have done in ourcarefree years ofgrowing up. To say we are sorry doesn't seem to be enough, but we know you fully understand. To you, Mom and Day, who are no longer with us, as we proudly reach our first milestone in our life, we know somehow, somewhere you are watching and although we cannot see your dear smile or hear your voice we feel thd sunshine of your influence around us. Your memory is something time cannot erase. Do dear Mom and Dad each day through every year we love you, we honor you, we appreciate you. God bless you! Even though our parents have helped us to reach this goal, our high school gradua- tion, we could not have been the students and citizens we are today without our sponsors. Through this, our most trying year, they have stood beside us and guided us towards the land of adulthood. To you, Mrs. Glennis Liles and Mrs. Thelma Justice, we could also like to dedicate our yearbook. As each year passes after high school, we can look back and remember you and your guiding hand. This is the age of the new frontier and as we step forward to meet our obligations and responsibilities, we have you, our parents and sponsors, to thank for preparing us to be better in the future. Respectfully and lovingly yours. The citizens and parents of tomorrow.
