NT) he Don cr Penske Suno- J.ivclin in the Roge c quad UEi AUTO SPORTS CLUB (W.S.A.S.C.) The purpose of the Wright State Auto Sports Club is to promote the safe use of automobiles. The club sponsors supervised events to further this purpose. These events arc held at Skyway Park located on campus and are held in association with the Sports Car Club of America and the Miami Valley Touring Club. Next year they plan to expand their staging equipment and number of productions to make them one of the most active groups on campus. The Riding Academy is a very active group. Club members arc instructed in all areas of horsemanship. Many riding trails arc available on the campus to allow members to enjoy riding. The club house is loci ted on Colonel Glenn Highway and is open all year. RIDING CLUB 109 Alpha Zeta Chi. one of the youngest and most progressive fraternities at Wright State, consists of thirty active members who dedicate themselves to the principle of excellence in scholastics, athletics, and service to the community. Through var- ious fund raising projects they have shown that they arc good business men with great imagination. Beta Phi Omega has grown to be one of the most active organizations on campus. Their purpose is to better the school, the community, themselves, and the fraternity through brotherhood and academic excellence. Active in all facets of univer- sity life, some of their projects have included: cleaning and painting the moat around Allyn Hall, a Toys for Tots campaign, a Cumber- land River trip, group participation in intramural sports, support of varsity athletics, and painting the Greene County Children’s Home. Kappa Delta Chi’s motto is “Sisterhood and Scholarship. The members of the so- rority do their best to live up to these ideals as well as doing service for the school and community. The “Kappas are also famous for their natural ability to have a good time, whether it be on the softball field, at a dance, or any place else they might venture. KAPPA DELTA CHI PHI THETA OMEGA Phi Theta Omega is the oldest sorority at Wright State. It is basically a social group whose members arc very active in service projects at WSU and in the community. SIGMA TAU EPSILON The purpose of Sigma Tau Epsilon is to cultivate and promote social rela- tions and fellowship among the members and within the student body. Sigma Tau Epsilon provides activities of all kinds and types to promote scholarship recreation, sportsmanship, and social interaction as well as projects for the benefit of the university and the community. THETA DELTA PHI Theta Delta Phi fraternity is the oldest Greek organi- zation on campus. The goal of the Delphis, simply stated, is graduation of all their members. The fra- ternity has been active in helping to establish tradition for Greeks and WSU. Made up mostly of underclassmen, this year's basketball team did well in its first var- sity season. Home games, which arc played at Stebbins high school, provided much excitement for Wright State fans. The team's biggest victory was winning first place in the Taylor Invitational Tournament in Indiana.
