Junior Class Play The Junior Class of 1955 presented their Junior Class play, Antics of Andrew, directed by Miss Merten. Andrew, Willie, and Harold are in college and are the very best of pals. Andrew gets a large sum of money from his rich uncle to support his wife and mother-in-law which do not exist. Andrew is in a fix when his uncle writes and says he is coming for a visit. Andrew has to think quick so his pals dress up as his wife and mother- in-law. Julie, Betty, and Althea, the boys' girlfriends, are wondering what is going on. Julie and Betty's Uncle Boynton is really an old dear and he is always asking them to watch their slang. lt is very funny when Andy's uncle comes and everyone finds out about Willie and Harold posing as a wife and mother -in-law and Andrew's confessing But everything turns out swell when Althea says yes to Andrew's proposal. Junior and Senior Prom The 1954 Junior and Senior Prom was held May 7th in the school gym. The theme for the event was Under Water Fantasy. The gym was decorated with aqua crepe paper. A huge octopus, the bottom of a light house, two mermaids, and lighted shells were the main attractions. The servers, who were dressed as pirates, made their entrance through a wrecked ship. After the banquet and program everyone enjoyed dancing to the music of Truman Martin and his orchestra. Senior Class News Our Aim Success, Our Hope To Win was the motto Chosen by the Seniors. Blue and white were chosen as the class colors and the white rose as our flower. Mr. Robert Christy, who is superintendent of Delphos High School, was chosen to be our Commencement speaker. Mr. Hans Wiedenmann will give the sermon at Baccalaureate. We also made plans for our class trip. We leave Van Wert on May Z9 and arrive in Washington on Monday. Three days will be spent in Washington and we will Stop in Philadelphia on the way to New York where we will spend the remainder of the week. We leave New York on .Tune 4th and arrive home on the 5th.
