The officers talk over plans for future projects. They are: Pres. Sherry Smith; V. Pres, Teresa Phipps; Sec. , Cathy Carter; Chaplain, Cathy Frye; Reporter, Coleen Hogston. Library Club Ready to help their fellow students, Library Club members maintained their place as members of one of the most active service clubs at R.B. Worthy. Their duties included assisting with audio visual materials, decorating the library, the bulletin boards, and the show cases, processing books, and keeping a school scrapbook. This year was a most rewarding year to all, thanks to the able guidance of Miss Hardin . Denise Brinkley, Shirley Debord, Vicki Dow, and Diane Debusk are shown putting the cards in order. Hi- Y Club The Hi-Y is a Christian Service Club whose purpose is to create, maintain and extend throughout the home, school and community high standards of Christian Character . The Hi-Y is made up of boys from grades seven through twelve who want to be part of a Christian Community. Projects included dusting erasers, an- nouncing the starting line-ups at basket- ball games, and picking up paper on the school grounds . Existing erasers are: W. Minton; J. Norris; R. Doane; G. Rolen; L. Ratcliffe; J. Maiden; L. Tuggle; J. Campbell; and J. Crawford. Officers are: M. Davidson--Rep; S. Boyd-- V. Pres; M. Rolen--Pres; R. Hogston-- Ser. at Arms; G. Rolen — Chap; J. Roberts --Sec; M. Sykes, J. Marshall, G. Walls-- Sweethearts; J. Frye — SCA Rep; and Mr. Parker — Advisor. Working on bulletin board are: G. Harris; B. Farris; P. Sword; B. Branson; B. WTiitely; T. Anderson; J. Smith; S. Surber; J. Maiden; and P . Sword.

The halls were silent and the rooms were empty except for the hardworking members of the staff who have devoted their leisure time to work to produce this yearbook of the happenings at Worthy High . Work on the Choo Choo began last spring when the staff was organized. Ads were sold during the summer to merchants in and out of our community. The school year began, and the hard work began too! Now the annual is completed- -and the staff presents the best annual ever to the patient students at R.B. Worthy High. 85
