This season ' s track team put forth a lot of hard work and came out fourth in county and third in district. Even though the team didn ' t score as high as they attempted to, they still served the school with high spirits . R. B. Worthy Shaker Band Worthy Band The R. B. Worthy Shaker Band really proved that they were a very very active part of Worthy. Early in the summer, band members started practice for the many field shows, pep rallys, and con- certs that they must gave before the year was through. Band Director: Mr. Bill Cook In October, the band participated in the South- eastern Band Festival where they received a Superior Division I. Morale was high as they entered concert season, again to take honors at the District Festival. Through all their performances, the band proudly displayed their new uniforms. The band proved again that Worthy is made up of excellent muscians, fine students, and hard workers . 75
