HE I Volume XX Presented By- Annucil Staff Of R. B. Worthy High Saltville, Virginia Faculty ... 15 Seniors ... 22 Advertisements ... 99 Edgar A Hen Poe The annual staff appreciates the works of Edgar Allen Poe which we used as the theme for this yearbook. Through- out this book you will find lines from some of his most famous poems such as the Raven. Edgar Allen Poe was orphaned at an early age and adopted by John Allen at Richmond, Va., whose name he added to his own . Among the great masters of the short story, Edgar Allen Poe retains his prominence after more than a century. Poe is at the same time the father of another major branch of modern fiction: the detective story. Fisherman, C.B. Radio operator and teacher describe the man the L967-68 Choo Choo is dedicated to. For his unselfish and loyal service, for his genuine personal interest in students and faculty, for his friendly understand- ing inside and outside the classroom, for his sincere dedication to his pro- fession, we, the staff, dedicate this book to our beloved teacher-- Donald E.
