The Cardinals won this contest, 26-6, with the locals getting their only score on a pass from Lee Barrier to Ray Roetman in the end zone. St. James - The Trojans next played host to the St. James Saints, later to be pro- nounced the top team in the state. Norman Anderson, the Saints' top running and passing back, led the way for a 40-0 win over the Tro- Jans. Marshall - Marshall's Tigers clawed their way to a close 12-6 win in the third game of the season. Penalties plagued the locals this time as they lined up off-side, five times in a row. Pipesione - Make the Arrows quiver, was the theme of the 1953 Homecoming game with Pipestone. And the Trojans did just that, as they held the previously unbeaten eleven to a 6-6 deadlock at the half and finally lost the heartbreaker, 12-6. Windom - The Trojans didn't show very well on a muddy track, and lost their fifth game in a row to the underdog victors, the Windom Eagles, 16-6.
