WSW WE KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE The members of the Board schools are Mr D bah superintendent Frank Schmidt of Education keep tab with pin points of the growth ln treasure Dr P W Har o V E Bro n cle k Ed und school population Studying the sites of p oposed ard Blixt W H Prouty president a d Gene Sto er In 1903 when the high school occu- pied two rooms in the grade building the Board of Education scratched their heads and worried about finding a place to put all the high school kids. Fifty years later the major problem remains the same. The first must on the Board's agenda is to either expand the high school or construct a junior high building. This may have been pre- sented to the voting public in the form of a bond issue by the time the Troian is published. All of us realize the crowded con- ditions in our school. We have been bumped and bruised in the crowded halls in our haste to go from the chem- istry lab to the band room or from the over-crowded choir room to Eng- lish class. Perhaps you ve noticed our future draftsmen in Mr. Osterberg s mechanical drawing class sitting on the window sills - there just isn t any other place for them! A lot of time thought and effort has been consumed by the Board members in planning the future school sites for future Worthington, com- pleting the fine athletic field, and handling routine affairs. Mr. W. H. Prouty, president of the Board of Education, expressed these thoughts to the staff members who in- terviewed him last fall. Our aim is to operate the Worthington Public Schools at the highest practicable level and to give the youth of this community every possible advantage in preparing them for later life.
