XM The final year came at long last What a wonderful feeling it was to be in the highest class in school and it was still more wonderful to be on our own The year started out with the magazine sales to finance the yearbook Miss Williams choir director announced that th1s would be her last year at WHS for soon she would be sailing for Europe In a way we felt that she was graduating with us The fad was knit dresses medallions and knee socks Qhow the boys protested'J It was delightful to sit back and be honored at the banquet and prom We looked forward to skip day for on that day the seniors took out for a day of fun On award day several proud seniors learned that they had been accepted into the Senior National Honor Society not to men t1on the students who were awarded special honors for outstanding service leadership and scholarship The impressive baccalaureate ser vice set many of us thinking seriously about our futures and the f1nal commencement exercises caused many a student and parent to swell with pride Now the Class of 52 IS setting their feet upon the wmdmg hall of hfe Our high school days are behind us but in spite of all the experiences ahead of us we ll never forget the years that helped mold our lives Everyone looks up expec tantlv watching the Boyces make a tardy entrance to the Pheasant dmner The blood they donated to the American Red Cross that day must have cut down on their speed Mmmm looks good' Ward Barrier and Harold Roberts are really digging in fcount the bonesll at the dinner The food must be good and the atmosphere right at the pheasant banquet. These senior girls seem to be in good spirits too.

Work, play, and stay out late Lookmg l1ke anythmg but a couple of Shlp wrecked mar1ners are Joe Fenstermacher preslclent when we were junlors and J olyn Clark as they lead the Grand March past the Prlde of the Prom The March Hare looks astomshed as Barbara Larson and Margaret Albmson f1ll nut cups 1n prep aratlon for the Allce 1n Wonderland dlnner That year was full to the br1m w1th 6XC1tE ment and act1v1t1es Wonderful Jun1ors was the t1tle g1ven us by the senlors feven though they meant It sarcast1cally'J Many of the boys began playlng on the A squad for the flrst t1me and therefore became members of the W Club Thelr 1n1t1at1on was somethlng they ll always remember It was also qulte an honor when the only three photographers on the yearbook and paper staffs were from our class The Pep Club was started and for the f1rst t1me Junlors had 1nd1v1dua1 portralts ln the TroJan. Many of the students were honored by belng accepted 1nto the Nat1onal Thespxan Soclety, but the two blg events, of course, were the Jumor-semor banquet and prom. The banquet theme was Alice in Wonderland and those attendmg the prom found themselves surrounded by fxsh 1n Neptune s Court Some were fortunate enough to quahfy for Qulll and Scroll For the flrst t1me ever the class rmgs were obtalned 1n the Juruor year Came sprmg and the presentatxon of the h1lar1ous comedy A Young Mans Fancy
