We students owe a tremendous debt to Dr. S. A. Slater. We're proud that he began in our school the work for which he re- X ax' ceived nation-wide acclaim. lt was in l924 that Dr. Slater first began his extensive tests tor tuberculosis among children of school age Every year he gives the Mantoux tests to all freshmen, seniors and all students new to W. H, S. Today the disease is almost obsolete among our school populations For your deep interest in our welfare, the Worthington Public Schools would like to say Thank you to you, Dr. S. A. Slater. DR. The Stu- dent Councll ts composed of class offtcers, representatnes of organlzatlons and stu- dents elected by the hamerooms The numerous projects on thelr agenda A were varied Among the thlngs accomp- ltshed thus year were the Red Cross Dnve, the Chnstnnas Basket Dnye, school parttes and two successful homecomlngs Our counctl played host to the Student Councrls of the Southwestern divlsion at the flrst conventton ever held ID Worthtng- ton.
