ewwtf' On June l, one hundred knowledge- crammed individuals will silently l?l pass into the bewildering world which has always been present outside the doors of WHS Four long years ago Jim Hendrick son bounded up the front steps late as usual to receive his first tardy slip since he graduated from the eighth grade Jumor Hi Lights edited by Jim Vance revealed many insignificant problems which at the time seemed ta be of great importance The thought of the Man toux test filled us with unnecessary fear lt was not nearly so bad as antici pated The reading of The Yearlmg helped to hasten an already rapidly dis appearing year The organization of the class into four home rooms gave numerous students a chance to try their leadership ability Worthington ex tended a hearty welcome to all the sur rounding towns that participated in the district music contest . . . Top honor: were received by the school organizations. Almost before we knew it we were called sophomores This gave us our first opportunity to organize as a class attend school parties participate in senior high student council meetings And to gain recognition as part of the senior high Remember this was the year that we were exposed to the horrors of grammar Bernie Brunner started his athletic career in both bas ketball and footbal and was a mainstay on the teams for the next two years Herman Miller Robert Blixt and Robert Fedor became round shouldered carrying suit cases from class to class member every Friday the anxious looks that awaited the arrival of the Black ist Bud Hanson was elected class president Margaret Mosher vice pres ident Anne Jansen secretary treasurer tcontl Donald De Freese Marcus Dickey Joyce Doeden Richard Feauto Robert Fedor Kenneth Fenske Robert Geisendorfer F 'F' Marcelline Gerber 5 I , G t . . .
