Since 1803. Worthington has come a long way and so has its school system. Walking down the halls of WHS today makes it hard for a student to appreciate the many changes that occured to create this school. It does make each student feel pride in being a part of such a fine institution. Whether this student realizes it or not, he. along with his 3600 peers and the many thousands that have come before him. is what makes the difference. Worthington’s consistent support of education is what, in 1803. helped create that first log cabin that became a school on weekdays and a church of Sundays. This support is what built, in 1810. the Worthington Acade- my. More recently, this support built both the annex and the present high school.
