There were some exciling and enioyable acfivilies lhal year, such as lhe car wash, lhe magazine sale, and +he Freshman Frolic al' Holiday Hill. Then il' was I958 and wi+h +ha'I year came lhe Sophomore Swing and lhe Iruilcake sale. John Young was presidenl +hen and Kay Carpenler and Billie Tharp represen+ed lhe class as Homecoming and Halloween allendanls. In I959 fhey were iuniors, and 'lheir every +hough+ +urned lo ribbon candy, concession sland, lhe Cardinal Boosler drive, and 'rheir dance The Firsl' Day of Spring. Two more evenls added lo lhe junior calendar were lhe class play, We Were Young Thai Year, and +he Junior-Senior Prom, Fefe Francais. Dick Faul was class presidenl and Penny Savage and Mar+ha Berg were Homecoming and Halloween allendanis. Represenlalives lo +he CARDINAL Queen courl' were Barbara Chacey and Kay Carpenfer. Anolher class play was on +he agenda, and ihis lime My Sisler Eileen was chosen. Leading lhe class lhis year were Earl Bader as Siudenl Body Presiden+ and Chris Caudill as class presidenl. Sherry Davis was Homecoming Queen and senior a++endan+ was Kay Carpenier. Halloween Queen was Penny Savage and her aHendan+ was Palsy Shoemaker. Then, as Easier lime rolled around, came 'rhe long-awailed senior 'I'rip. The class of '60 spen+ five wonderful and exciling days in New York Cily and Washinglon D.C.
