Phil Lowmun President Joe Raffaelle Vice President-Proiects Charlotte Rosenquist Vice President-Points Gary Shidaker Treasurer Linda Huck Secretary The Class of 1959 Senior Soliloquy Four years ago, as Freshmen, we started our proiects with a magazine sale. Our first glimpse of high school life was at the Fall Mixer. Under our officers, Rick Orwig, Bill McCord, Barb Demos, and Pat Patterson, we held our pen- set sale. Outstanding salesmen were found. In the winter came our party, The Merry Mix Up and our Valentine party. Our Sophomore officers were Rick Orwig, Bill McCord, Phil Lowman, and Nancy Stump. Our Halloween float brought a prize and we were on our way up. There were struggles with those foreign languages which were really foreign. The car wash was one of our maior proiects, and we ended the year with a wonderful picnic at WRFD. Then we became upperclassmen. Waiting for that hard earned license was quite an effort and the roads were not safe anymore. Even though we had only three home games, the concession stand was a lot of fun and a success. Spring brought first aid kits and our first theatrical production, DOCTOR IN SPITE OF HIMSELF. The Junior-Senior Prom, ORIENTAL PARADISE, was a year long proiect and the re- sults certainly showed the work we did. Our class was repre- sented in athletics, music, and scholarship. Our Junior leaders were Chuck Janssen, Sam Cushman, Barb Severns, and Judy Albertson. At last we made it. Seniors! Our last year has been filled with many activities. Monologues, a tradition, were again outstanding. Our Senior class play, HIGH GROUND, will be remembered as a success due to the work of the whole class. We set a high goal for all the underclassmen to beat in our large presale on play tickets. The Chicken Bar B Q was de- licious, as all who worked on it remember. We could not forget the Spaghetti Dinner, which was iust fun. Our officers kept the work coming with a Fish Fry, Smorgasbord, and Carnival. Seniors were driving to be specific all year and it was a maior proiect. Our cry became money, and we at last made it to New York. We will never forget our faith- ful chaperones and teachers, Mr. Lowery and Mr. Rousculp. The work of all the Seniors produced the best graduation ever. As we leave Worthington, we take with us experiences which will never be forgotten. il
