Foundations in Education . . . The Class of 1958 received the basis of their educa- tion in five schools: Worthington Elementary, built in 1938, Sharon, erected in 1949, which is no longer in the system, Homedale, our oldest school, built in 1923, Flint School established in 1929, and North Perry School in Linworth. ln 1955 Colonial' Hills School was added to our system. The next step in the building of their knowledge which brought the classmates into one unified class was Junior High School. The final hurdle of their education was attending Worthington High. The academic wing, which was fin- ished in 1951, the administration wing, finished in the next year, and the gymnasium, completed in 1953 pro- vided many never-to-be-forgotten moments for the class. Worthington High School has supplied excellent teachers and many opportunities for a well-rounded education. The staff led the students not only in the gaining of knowledge but also in the forming of high standards of living. The ideals and goals acquired during high school will follow the class throughout the future. It will be with mixed emotions that the Seniors leave Worthington High School. Some will be ioyful, reminis- cent, grateful, or sorrowful. Most will leave with a mix- ture of these emotions and with a heart full of memories of working, studying, and playing together as a class.
