Whcli all the newcomers from Flint, llomedale, and Linworth were acquainted with the VVorthingtonites, the class organized and elected loc Showalter as its president. Martha flrant was chosen as attendant to the llomecoming Queen. VVhen the class came down the long hill to Senior lligh, they had become worldlyfwise sophomores. That year they elected Buddy llutler class president. Yllhen llomecoming time came, llctty Ann Price was voted to he representative on the court. The class was husy selling magazines and already looking ahead to the junior' Senior Prom, which would soon he their responsihility. ln l95l, the class worked very hard to plan a successliul junior- Scnior. President Dave Moody led them in this endeavor, and lletty Ann Price was again chosen for the llomecoming Court. ilvhe junior-Senior was really worth their hest elliorts, they del cided, so the class memhers sponsored paper drives, dances, and other functions to I11klliC money. .Xt the end ol' the year they were ahle to have a line Prom with a Mardi Gras theme. 'lihe class also presented Life Begins at Sixteen , a comedy play in three acts. For the senior year Bill Cuddy was class president. The popular xote elected Betty Ann Price llomecoming Queen, and Shirley ligelholl her senior attendant. The class directed its efforts toward taking a trip to VVashington, D. C. and New York City at the end of the year. To this end they sponsored a paper drive, spaghetti dinners, collected sales tax stamps, and accomplished other projects. The class play, Mignonette, gave the seniors a chance to he gentlemen and ladies ol' the Old South. Many of the seniors planned college study, while others chose johs in various lields.
