Following procedures that foster learning on the part of every student is the English Department. The program follows what is com- monly called a fused or integrated program of study, with no marked time division between literature and composition course offerings. The best of Western literature, English and American works are provided in the field of literature. Electives include speech, iournalism, creative writing and reading.
