Schreiber, Mr. Harold Gerberich, Mr. Donald S. llcll THE BOARD OF EDUCATION The l956-57 Board of Education has been busy with many varied school matters. One ol' its efforts has been the completion of the .Iunior High and Senior High building project. The additional facilities in the Alunior High building include two classrooms on the top lloor, a large study hall and library combination on the ground lloor, and a kitchen, cafeteria, and two handicraft rooms in the basement. The Senior High improvements include a new science department with modern lab and classroom facilities combined, and the completion of the gymnasium and shop area. More extensive athletic activities lor both boys and girls are provided in the new gym, and the shop area includes an automotive shop and classroom, a drafting room, metal shop, wood shop, and a graphic arts department. Wfith the separation of the junior High and Senior High, a new charter has been obtained, granting two years for junior High and four years for Senior High school. This charter enabled the establishment ol a new Junior High curriculum. This year a new salary schedule lor teachers was adopted. This will make VVooster a little more attractive to new teachers. In April the Board played host to the board members and superintendents of five neigh- boring counties. This meeting, which was held at Parkview School, was to discuss school legis- lature and other problems. OFFICERS Mr. Wfilliam I, Shreiber ...,.........,..,,,,... .,,,.,... P resident Mr. Chester E.
