Amy Louise Baysinger Donna Mae Brooks Chad Allen Brosnan Classes, added trips fill senior year The senior class of WHS had a year filled with aca- demic and extra-curricular activities. The class load consisted of English, senior math, American government, chemistry, business law, computers, shop, vo-ag, office practice, band, and chorus. Extra activities participated in were football, basketball, track. FFA, FHA, annual staff. National Honor Society, and declam. Early in the year the class of '88 had the task of picking out announcements and measuring for caps and gowns. This was the first step in preparing for graduation. On February 12 the American Legion sponsored the seniors' trip to Pierre. There the seniors toured the state capitol and sat in on both houses of the legis- lature. Also in February the seniors and juniors went to Mitchell to see vice president George Bush speak. This was a new experience for them as no one had ever seen a presidential candidate before. One of the big days for the seniors was March 28. This was the day they got senior privileges. They were no longer required to attend studyhalls, but they had to keep their grades passing in order to keep their privileges. The last days of the year approached rapidly. On May 15 baccalaureate was held and May 20 was graduation. il { T 4 Chad Brosnan tries to ride a small tricycle at a lyceum.
