A hush fell over the crowd the evening of September 18, as the events of Homecoming Coronation got underway. Seven senior girls sang the traditional Tumbling Tumbleweeds. New to the scene were the KI-YI Days signs and a teepee provided by the PTA. Chief Ray Boschee and Princess Laurie Kroell were crowned Homecoming royalty, with Bob Krause, Jim Grassel, Heather Selland, and Roxanne Moe as attendants. The juniors entertained the crowd with the skit Short Peo- ple. The burning of the T and a pep meeting followed the festivities with music by the WHS band.
