Ki-Yi Day Spirit Shines Through A Rcdmcn homecoming is usually hectic and action packed. 1980 was no exception. The morning of Sept. 19 found grades K-12 preparing for the parade which would precede down mainstreet. The Sophomore class captured first place in the float division with their float, “As the Pigskin Turns . At 7:15 that evening the cheerleaders arrived via fire engine at the playing field, setting the scene for another Redmen Home- coming victory. The Redmen trounced the Tulare Chieftans 44-12 that night. It was the fourth consecutive homecoming the Redmen have won. The game was followed by a KOKK disco in the gym. Pictured right, Heather Selland and Jodi Davis donned their fifties outfits to show their Redmen spirit. Pictured lower left, Jana Merkle and Kandy Kroell are caught “clowning around.
