SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Pres., Joan Druse; Vice-Pres., Darwin Noble; Sec.-treas., Norma Brown. SENIOR CLASS HISTORY The class of 1953 began its career in September of 19U9 with an enrollment of 30. Those registered were: Marva Ammon, Joanne Anderson, Marvin Anderson, Mary Ashfeld, John Ball, Juanita Baseman, Eugene Bunkowski, Le Roy Bradwish, Norma Brown, Shirley Brown, Joan Druse, Naomi Dunlap, Jim Emerson, Glennis Fitting, Robert Goeman, Shirley Hansen, Pat Howard, Charles Knigge, Margaret Moran, Darwin Noble, Delilia Noltensmeier, Robert Parsons, James Patterson, Joan Payne, Nadene Roache, Janet Roti, Arlen Schroeder, Eugene Schmidt, Patty Thompson, Carl Wolf. Class officers were Robert Parsons, Pres- ident; Janet Roti, Vice-President; Glennis Fitting, Secretary-treasurer. Class candidates for Carnival King and Queen were Bob Parsons and Janet Roti. Two members of the class dropped out, Eugene Schmidt at the end of the second six weeks, and Eugene Bunkowski at the end of the year. During their Sophomore year, class officers were Marva Ammon, President; Pat Howard, Vice-President; Janet Roti, Secretary-treasurer. Candidates for Carnival King and Queen were Arlan Feistner and Glennis Fitting. Five members discontinued school here during the second year; Delilia Noltensmeier, Le Roy Bradwish, Marvin Anderson. Jim Patterson, and Nadene Roache. Class officers during the Junior year, 1951-52, were Margaret Moran, President; Charles Knigge, Vice-President; John Ball, Secretary-treasui er. During this year, the class succeeded in raising the most money to win the election for their candidates for Carnival King and Queen, Marva Ammon and Charles Knigge. The class play presented was Finders Creepers” and was under the direction of Keith Warne. Marva Ammon and Arlan Feistner were selected as Girl and Boy a State Representatives. Patty Thompson and Jim Emerson dropped out of school during this third year. Senior year enrollment began with 22. One new student was added to the class roll when Marilyn Mier transferred here from Irwin High School. Janet Roti discontinued school leaving the class with a total of 21 members. John Ball and Margaret Moran were chosen to reign as King and Queen of Ki Yi Day, the first homecoming to be held in approximately 20 years. Class officers were Joan Druse, President; Darwin Noble, Vice-President; and Norma Brown, Secretary-treasurer.

Twenty-two eager students began their Junior year at Woonsocket High on September 1, 1952. The only new student was Darleen Wells. Theresa Howard was elected President; „ Katherine Houlihan, Vice-President; and Janet Steichen, Secretary-treasurer. Gordon Kappel was elected Secretary- treasurer of the student body. Juniors that participated in declam work were Janet Steichen and Katherine Houlihan. Katherine Houlihan acted as assistant-editor of the Hi-Life Staff. Those on the Annual Staff are Judy Ritter, Janet Steichen, Theresa Howard, Jim Forbes, and Janet Gutzmer. The boys that lettered in football were Jim Davis and Jim Jenssen. Jim Davis, Gordon Kappel, Jim Jenssen, Jim McCoy, Tom McCoy, and Darwin Peterson participated in basketball.
