Social Studies In addition to the required United States History program, Woonsocket High School's Social Studies Department offers students a variety of elective courses. These courses provide students with a deeper knowledge and understand- ing of their world. In all, twelve elective courses provide Woonsocket High School with the opportunity to meet the wide range of their abilities, tastes, and interests. Business The Business Department is primarily concerned with familiarizing the students with the different aspects of the business world. Some of the courses include Typing, Accounting, Shorthand, Business Math, Consumer Economics, and Receptionist Training. One of the department's goals is to help the students gain self-confidence which is essential in getting a job. The students also learn proper attitudes and work habits.
