 There is a remembrance of the dead to which we turn--even from the charms of the living. These remembrances we would not exchange for the song of pleasure or the bursts of revelry. As dew to the blossoms--and bud to the bee, as scent to the rose, --such are the mem- ories of Billy Atkins who would have been a member of the Eighth Grade. He has--though the seven years of our school life--been such a vital part of us that this memory is eternal. Remembrance is the lasting perfume of a beautiful flower that has faded. 5
