The annual reflects many memories of our school days. Some day we shall enjoy re- calling many happy experiences. May we al- ways remember all the people who have contributed so much to our school. J. FRANCIS TURNER Principal tZ)education We, the Annual Staff of the TWIN OAKS Yearbook, wish to dedicate our annual to one whose help and advice made this annual possible. May this annual be her monument of a job well done. For her help and encouragement, we wish to dedicate our 1957 Yearbook with sincerest appreciation to MISS ALICE TATUM. Senior ( Lciaa Ci tory We, the seniors of ’57, As we come to say adieu, Look back on'cherished memories We owe, Woolwine, to you. The first grade, oh, the many paths We found for exploration! And always through the seven grades Gaiety was mingled with education. Readin’, ritin’, and rifmetic Were learned with zest and zeal; That was when we drew this conclusion: Public education is a pretty good deal. The eighth grade room we entered at last— Not quite high school, but not elementary— Changing classes and teachers were all very strange; But we caught on, eventually. Then high school found thirty-three new members; We made it at last,” we’d sing; And as a present, we gave to the school Her May Day queen and king. Our sophomore year, such a happy time! With ball games and parties galore. We didn't have desks, so we used the next best Namely, our lockers, or drawers. Jolly juniors, that’s what we were; Class rings were selected together; Our variety show provided money For the banquet we gave in spite of foul weather. Now we find ourselves dignified seniors” With nineteen of us, all told. Our senior play was a great success And our annuals, my, how they sold! We face graduation with hope in our hearts, And eternally grateful we’ll be the help of our teachers, classmates, and friends, And most of all, Woolwine, to thee! Es- pecially in the matter of hospitaliza- tion insurance. After you reach 18, the chances are you can no longer be covered under your family's insurance! If this happens and you should be hos- pitalized, your parents would have to pay the entire bill-r-and it could run into hundreds of dollars. This risk is unnecessary, because for only a few pennies a day you can have adequate amounts of hospital and sur- gical insurance through the Individual Hospital Expense Policy issued by the Hartford Accident and Indemnity Company, one of the country's largest insurance firms. You'll be covered at home, away at college—anywhere in the world! Be sure and show this message to your parents — or better yet — have them call us now for full details. PARIS H. PUGH, AGENT L. W.
