Representatives from each high sehool in the district brought and dis- cussed eoneerns of district-wide interest to the Interhigh meetings. They then reported back to the Student Senate to discuss decisions and have the Senate representatives pass the deci- sions on to the classes. ln this way. students transferred their ideas through the Student Senate to Interhigh so that their thoughts were heard at the distriet level. where the ideas were considered and brought changes. Both the Stu- dent Senate and the Interhigh had much to do with negotiations on the Woodway High School Closure Plan. Hi-Q gave students with superior scholastic abilities a chalice to show their stuff with com- petition between schools. The Hi-Q team con- sisted of the top four members at the time of eaeh match. A match is comprised of three teams competing for points against one another on intellectual questions. There were two re- turning members this year: John Yvoodbury and Janet Paseal. who gave solidity to a team which has done so well in past seasons.
