Starting out the '68 football season with the first Western-Conference-touchdown, Wood- way began im kick off year . This marked a building year for the Warriors. New knowledge and experience was gained for Woodway's first varsity team. The capable leadership of head coach Bill Peterson led the team in both games and practice. Accepting the inspirational award was Craig Swanson. C r a i g was nominated as being the team member who promoted the most spirit. Mike Wheat received the captain's award for his outstanding leadership on the field. The JV with a 1-win 3-loss season did triumph over the Meadowdale Chiefs. The sophomore team worked diligently through the season. After many efforts and in their last games they stomped the Cascade Bruins with a 26-7 victory.
