Administration To: Yearbook Staff From: Mr. Davis, Principal Re: Principal's Message for Yearbook As W o o dway High School ends its second year, the personality of a new s c ho ol be- gins to emerge. An ever widening curric- ulum and a teaching staff which is committed to quality education blend to provide intel- lectual s t im ul at io n for all. Pride in our school takes on anew dimension as Woodway completes its fir S t year in interscholastic activities. The absense of upper classmen these past two years has forced leadership on to some who may not otherwise have be- come school le a d e r s, and their response has been most heartening. Each new event has in i t i a t e d a new tradition, a challenge which Woodway High School s t u d e n t s ac - cepted willingly but did not take lightly. The student enthusiasm, friendliness, and seri- ousness of purpose portend a brilliant future for Woodway High School. V. lm' Although new to Woodway this year, Mr. Stoffer accepted the duties of Vice- Priricipal with courage and enthusiasm. Mr. Davis' right hand, Mrs. Myron, is kept constantly busy with bulletins , announce- ments, and phone calls. Despite the hectic schedule she maintains her exuberance and enthusiasm for all of Woodway's activities. Mrs. Schaeffer, counseling secretary, as- sists the guidance depmtment with its paper work. Running the mimeographing machine is one of the many duties of Mrs. Crary, Woodway's faculty secretary. Secretarial S Zajf Keeping the records straight is Mrs. Phillips, attendance secretary. Those who don't know her by name, would recognize her signature on any number of little white slips. Guidance Ivlr. McClenahan and Mrs. Svendsen, WHS junior and sophomore counselors, are always ready and willing to assist students. 9
