Virtually all of Woodwardas 3500 achieve at least some of their goals of high school life, For many, the greatest achievement is in the Classroom. The thrill of being ranked in the top ten or even the top ten per cent is an achievement which many realize as a result of arduous work over a six year period For Others, the greatest achievement is in ath- letics. Many Woodward letter winners work many long and hard hours for their achievements. Other Woodwardites successfully attain their goals in other waysi For these people, achievement may be winning a student councii election, be- ing elected to Pep Club, or simply acquiring many worth while friends. For an athletic team, achievement may mean victory in the championship game or even beating a heavily favored opponent. Achievement, however, must be earned. Before achieving a goal, a student must HrSt declare his goal and then act to realize that goal. Thus, Woodward is a place of achievement for many ofits 3500 students; II A; ,0?! j;
