Activities Initiate a Change of Pace The place is Trechter Stadium. The quarterback com- mands, iTReady, setW Immediately, Woodward springs into action The line opens a gaping hole, a haliback shoots through it and breaks into open Field, and the Woodward Cheering section awakens with 21 roar. This is Woodward in action. The 9:16 bell rings and 3500 students pour into Woodwarde halls from their respective Classrooms. These same halls, quiet and tranquil only two minutes before, are now an outlet for the energy of Woodwardzs population on their way to their next class. By 3:30 hundreds of people are vigorously involved in extra-curricular activities. Key Club, French Club, Student Council, Class Council, and countless other organizations are made up of fragments of Woodwarde population. Athletic activity goes on full time at Woodward Woodward competes in P.H.S.L. football, crosscountry, swimming, wrestling, basketball, gymnastics, golf, tennis, track, and baseball. Other students involve themselves in choir, band7 or orchestra. So it is that Woodward students enj 0y a high school life of diversified activities. And the rains camei Mother told me therei'd be days like this.
