K93. -:-.- w nwlwl HOWARD TRECHTER 1 906- 1 944 The death of Howard Trechter, killed in action in Luxem- burg the eleventh of October, nineteen hundred ancl forty- four, was an irreparable loss, not only to his family and friends. but to the teaching profession as well. He Inacl much to offer. We, who were his friends and associates here at Wood- ward High School, came to respect and aclmire him during the few months he was a member oi: our faculty before being called into the service of his country. A Who knew Howard Trechfer remember him as a courageous spirit, an excellent teacher, a loyal friend. Howard Trechter lived bravely and died Iiravely. The hope of our nation rests with men like him.
