Nineteen hundred and forty-tour marks the fourth year of the principatship of Dr. Leon D. Peaslee at VVoodward High School. This means that this year's Class is the first to have spent the complete four years of its high school course under his inspiring guidance. We were indeed fortunate in this respect. We recognize that his effective leadership has been most vital in our preparation for life. Our ciass and Dr. Peastee came to Woodward together. Now we must leave our beloved atma mater. but Dr, Peaslee will remain to guide Future classes as they prepare to take their places in the world. In these history-making times, the principal of a large high school is faced with grave responsibilities. Dr, Peaslee has accepteci the challenge with courage and has led Woodward in its mighty effort to give its best in war-time education. He has given unsparingly of his time and energy. and his achievements will long be remembered.
