BOARD OF EDUCATION The Messrs. Raymond Baldwin, Grant Murray, VVayne Shawaker, Thomas Bretherton, and Edward Ames. as members of the Board of Ed- ucation, have worked untiringly to keep the schools up to a standard of high achievement. Believing earnestly in modern scientific methods of education, they have endeavored to make the Toledo Public Schools practical representatives of these ideals. Vlrhile the Board, as a whole, gives impartial service and direction to all the schools of the city, each of its members has a personal inter- est in each school and feels responsible for its welfare. The schools in return appreciate the Boardis friendly guidance and are proud to claim it as the head of Toledo Public School System. FACULTY As we turn toward various fields of new endeavor, we pause grate- fully to think of the teachers at Yvoodward High School. Through their untiring interest in us and our activities. their sympathetic under- standing, and their helpful suggestions, they have taught us to he what we are. They have made an impression on us which time itself cannot erase. The secret of successful education is the co-operation hetween the teachers and the students. A teacher is not a hired servant. hut one who Works in our behalf, and one whom we honor and respect. And teachers, as a parting word, we, the seniors. want to thank you for the great help you have been to us. and for the many things you have done for us which brought happiness into these four years of school life. Wie take leave of you with appreciation for your conipanionshipg and through the years, we shall count our association with you as one of the privileges of our high school days.
