Next on the scene are Fred Burkhart and Floyd Moore. Fred has become an accomplished veterinarian, and Floyd is a successful automotive tech- nician. The party is livened up by the entrance of two lovely young ladies Betty Stoneburner and Geraldine Jones They are well in the process of becoming the world's f1PSt great female disc jockeys and have high hopes of exchanglng muslcal ldeas w1th Luna Flats suddenly the band strikes up the tradit1onal Luna Flats fanfare en titled 'Rocket Rumble, and the people responsible for this tr1p enter on the scene First off are the pllot, Bob Mltchell, and the co pilot, Dean Burkhart Last, but not least, are the designers and bullders of this ultra modern streamlined rocket, Larry Robinson and Bob Sheppard Bob is ac companled by his charming w1fe, Doreen, who has acted as official hostess throughout the trip Suddenly we hear the roar of a rocket's exhaust Someone left the keys 1n the rocket and one of the Lunatics has stolen lt This reunlon may last longer than expected Oh, well, Luna Flats is a n1ce place and anyway there is another rocket to arr1ve in 25 years See you then' J1m Dean Doreen M Bob Larry ROblUSOH +1 J1m D ...s...-ani-n -- . SE IOR CLASS PRUPHECY The date is May 28, 1969 Cearth tlmel The setting is the Green Cheese Room of the famed Moonlight Plaza Hotel located in Luna Flats, Moon The band is playlng 'When the Earth Comes Over the Mountain,' and the Lunatics are really Jazzing it up The master of ceremonies for this lavish occasion is none other than the famous James Guided Missile Toe Dean and his Moonsh1ners Located in the harp sectlon are two old school chums of James Guided Missile Toe Dean, Eugene Gastroid Grimes and Byer Moonbeam Morrison The occasion is the reunion of the class of '58 of good old Wood ward High Earth The band strikes up a tune called WMoon Mombo,'and waltzing around the floor we see some very familiar faces Some of these have already moved to Luna Flats,and those st1ll mak1ng the1r residence on Earth are expected to arrive soon Out in the crowd we see Dr Joe M1ller, talking with two of his nurses, Marilyn Newland and Rosella Spracher These three schoolmates all had an active 1nterest in medicine and slnce graduation had gone to college, where they recelved their degrees, and had volunteered to come good and build a hospital on the moon so the Lunatics could receive care Now appearlng on the scene 15 Beverly McMorris So far she is the only one to set up a school of cosmotology on the moon With her are two of her capable assistants, Barbara Wilson and Sharon Wolters The band strikes up a lively tune entitled 'Planetoid Paddle' and their number they are rudely interrupted by the screaming whisper f the dual exhaust of an approachlng rocket, followed by a resounding thud Everyone rushes out to meet the new arrlvals, the rest of the class of '58 First to step out of the rocket are Kay Todd and Nancy Tietjen, followed by their families Since graduation both girls have settled down and become what they happily termed as 'gust pla1n housewives W Next off is one of Earth's well known architects, Mickey Meneough who has high hopes of gaining some new 1deas for archltecture in Luna Flats to take back to Earth w1th him He is followed by Charles Menz, Larry Miller, and Harold Frantum, who have all become successful farmers and have come to the moon to offer advice on modern methods of agrlculture By the sound of giggles from within we can guess who our next arrivals are First stepping out of the rocket is the world famous fashion and one world's promote dictate designer Madame Olga With her is another big wheel from Earth of her o d school chums, Ronald Hass Ronald represents one of largest manufacturers of Chaw-Chaw Chew1ng gum, guaranteed to tooth decay Ronnie lnterrupts the conversation long enough to a letter to hls new private secretary, Marty Rose the former Marty Martin! What's this? Someone arguing? No, it's Just a traveling sales man by the name of Jerry Leonard,arguing with one of his best customers, Bonnie Walker, who is a famous horse trainer from Texas, over the price of his new line of 'Slimy Sam's Slippery Saddle Soap ' With Bonnie is her head bookkeeper, Dorothy Bolt, who has charge of f1nancial affairs on Bonnie's ranch , e out waddles the chorus line.
