Glass P1'0Ph2f9 Paul sgeklocha, owner of the famed Cloud Roomn in New York invited all of the members of his graduating class to be hi guests on the evening of June 19, l967 That afternoon at l 30 the first guest appeared It was none other than Dick Burns When Paul asked about D1ck's Job he found that he is the owner of a taxi company in New York and sits behind a desk all day, managing affairs Sounds typical of Dick, doesn't it? soon after Mr and Mrs Max Hitsman arrived to spend the evening Mrs Hitsman is the former Pat Jones At the present, they and three children are still living at Woodward where Max is the owner of the standard Oil filling station As Patty and Max were putting their Jackets away Trudy Hass Judy Hutt, susan Carey, and Diana Hamil arrived Paul thought, when he greeted them at the door, they would all be married but Trudy and Diana were the only two who had hooked their men Judy informed all names of unmarried millionairs Same old Judy, Huh? Patty soon found out that susan would be married in two weeks She was going to apart California to meet her boyfriend and make her home there At this point, everyone's attention turned to the door I trouped Marie Frantum, Carolyn Pentlco, Marvell Greene, and Nancy New land They had all taken the same train t0 town and had been trying to catch up on everyone's whereabouts were talkin a mile a minute The rest of conversing ong enough to learn what they lived Marie had fulfillgd her high school service worker She informed everyone that also liked living in Wyoming Marvell they came in the door they the group got them to stop were doing and where they dreams and was now a civil she liked it real well and really going places in the National Guard He's working now for 5 star general Carolyn attended college, Ames of course, and upon graduated was wed and settled down on a little farm in Good Ole Nancy had become a typical career girl she has a swank being Iowa ment in California but goes back to Woodward every once in awhile to see the folks All of a sudden everyone heard a big commotion outside There was a rush for the door, and there to everyone's surprise was Jim Rothfus He'd landed his jet 1n Times square Accompaning hil was Ed Anderson, who had laid aside his work in his grocery store to come with Jim to the reunion They told us, though, after everyone had gone back inside, that Tom Royer had sent word he could not be present for the party He was having restaurants and had to stay and The excitement of the last Battani came in. He had come a little difficulty with his chain of straighten it out arrival had just died down when Bob all the way from Italy where he had gone soon after graduation to open up a wine factory. ust as he said this,Mike Baker came in and asked if Bob had brought any samples with him. Mike went to college as soon as he got his diploma started work as a mechanical engineer. Finally the excitement of new arrivals died down and everyone begin talking and wondering if anyone else would be at the reunion. As if in answer to their thoughts,Joan McMorris and Chuck Boyles arrived. They had accidently run into each other at the bus depot and had come to 'The Cloudroom' together. Chuck went to a pr1nt1ng school and now has his own paper in a small town 1n Tennessee His helper in th1s e tabllshment 15 none other than Elv1s Presley who was once a famous slnger Once more the door opened, and Larry Ov1att came 1n He was a great archltect and had lnC1d6HCly, des1gned the NCloud Qoomn for Paul H15 works were now known all over the Unlted state Larry had Just sat down and had begun talklng and a k1ng questlons when J1mmy Lane and Roger stre1ght came saunterlng 1n To everyone's surprise J1m and Roger are partners ln a breakfa t food company The name of the1r product 15 Crunchy Nunchy, so when you see that cerea1.on the shelf be sure and buy two or three boxes The slogan for thelr comp All of a sudden there came a burst of laughter from the hall Everyone was wonderlng who lt was when Gary Weber and Harold Kuehl came 1U They were laugh1ng about some of the m1SCh18f they remem bered creating in school Harold is a lawyer now and 1S living in Texas Gary 1S also liv1ng in Texas where he has a b1g ranch H doesn't ra1se cattle though he raises oil and is one of the rlchest O11 men 1n the state Ph1l Wlckett, all were sorry to hear, could not come to the reunion because he 1S Gary's foreman and was needed at the ranch Gary sa1d he sent his regards and would have really l1ked to attend The next two members of the 1957 graduatlng class to arrive were Ralph Beck and John Rose They drove up together from North Carollna where Ralph is teachlng and John is half owner of a men's clothlng store Paul was about ready to give his welcome speech when in came James Grimm James is a farmer 1n Iowa and is, by the way, dolng quite well Working on his dad's farm during his school years really paid off Two more arrivals stepped into the dining room of the 'Cloud Room' soon after James arrived They were none other than Leslie Stanturf and Glenn Crum Leslie told all those present that as soon as he left school he had enlisted in the U S Army He had made a career of it and had only ten more years to go before retirement Glenn had just gotten back from London He is a member of the U s Track team and they had been over there to compete in a track event Well, after all noses were counted, it was found that all of the members of the 1957 graduatlng class of Woodward High school were present, with the exception of the two who could not come Of course, everyone had a wonderful t1me, and it was decided to have another reunion at the same place ten years later Everyone went home looking back on their school days with a little sadness that they were over, but looking forward to another reunion in 1977. . . , . . . i X A any is HEat Crunchy Munchy for your Breakfast and Lunchy.H .
