as-xl simon cuss PLAY The Senior Class presented their magnificent play on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 26 and 27. Eleven girls and three boys made up a cast that provided some highly exciting and nervous moments. The play was entitled ---- QQ, fs! 7 i'P':f 'Xxx K 4 I I ' B A C K W 0 0 D S R 0 M E O W I think those on the play cast agree that practices were more easy to enjoy than the actual production of the play, but all in all, we had a new experience that shall not be forgotten S0011 The play takes place in a small sum er resort in upper New York Larry McNe1l lives there with his two sisters Connle and Billie and their maid,LaReina, who is his Spanish flustered, and laugh provoking maid Billie's boyfriend Rex, and Larry took a trip to Canada and discovered an exception ally young hermit living in a one room cab1n This hermit is unusually bright and well educated By some strange coinci dence, his name is Romeo Montague, one of Shakespeare's greatest characters The boys 1DViU8d him down to vislt them at their home The hllarious scene begins when Connie tells him that she and Billie are women, because Romeo, it seems has never seen a woman and th1nks them some k1nd of pet that men have The scene changes and so does Romeo's point of view on women when Connie teaches him the 'art' of kissing!! Along with everything else Rex is 1nvolved in an acci dent with Larry's car, and the orewoman and her four helpers are always intruding demandlng the furnlture or the money which seems to be due on it Intermingled with it all is Rex's contlnuous tr1ps around the davenport trylng to find a place to hide from the lady lnsurance agent who is trying to g1ve him some money to settle the quibble about the wreck Speaking on behalf of the members of the play cast, I want to say that we all really engoyed doing the play very, very, much I'm sure Mrs Pro will never forget the head aches she has had working with us We'l1 never forget the way she helped um e1ther It was loads of fun and filled with many undying memories
