Sembr L'la 5 Pla y WTHE TANGLED YARNH Camilla Page, her cousin Vivian Page, and their friend Cora Blake, share an apartment and food-when they have it, but their situation had become des- perate when Alex Lawton calls to inform them that Camilla has won an award of 35,000 for the nideal mother.n Camilla had borrowed a costume and a wig from Sadie Stringer, who lives upstairs. She sent a picture of herself as an old lady and a pathetic history of a deserted wife who struggled to raise her children, Camilla, Cora, Vivian, and Stuart, not to mention Pickney, who died a hero, and whose medals were pawned for bread. Stuart Brand is infatuated with Camilla, and like the other two girls, hails her a master-mind until her nyarnn becomes seriously tangled. Stuart's mother arrives to tell him that she is going to disinherit him. Sadie comes to take her costume just when it is necessary that Camilla wear it to keep up her masquerade as an old ladyg HSpeedn Martin, an attractive you g reporter, turns up to check her stories to the newspapers, for there have been conflict ing angles. njoshua Pagen enters the scene and announces himself as the hus- band who deserted his family years ago, now returning to claim part of that prize money. Everything seems to be going from bad to worse until Mrs. Page, Camilla's mother, comes and straightens everything out for the girls. SENI R CLASS PROPH CY Last night I flew my rocket ship to Mars and being a curious person, I ventured to study the Marclans rad1o supersonic telescope and discovered it reveals the fu- ture happenlngs of earthmen for one decade Now I shall reveal to you what I observed Th 1954 Senlcrs are trave11ng from different parts of the cou try for a reunion 1n 1964 Larry Paterson had found his place as a surgeon 1n his hometown of Woodward He had established a new cl1nic there He declded he would take h1s receptionist Alyce Thompson, to the reu lon at Hawa11 They boarded the T W A a1rl1ne at Des MOIDBS Much to the1r surprise, Nadine Pierce was hostess, she would be gomng to Hawa1i too. Before the plane left the ground, a lady walked up the ramp They recognlzed her as Audrey Grlef, secretary of the head offlce of the McAnelly Tank Serv1ce Company 1h Des Mo1nes Several hours later the plane landed and the travelers went to the Mount Cliff Hotel 1n Cheyenne, Wyomlng As the group entered, they fou d a telegram from Wash- 1ngton,D C It was from Beverly Newland, the Press Secretary for the Pres1dent It sa1d she was sorry she cou1dn't attend but there was a Senate hear1ng wh1ch she had to cover We went to the lobby and watched T V The announceg Lo1s Janssen, sa1d, 'Good afternoon and welcome to the Sarah Varisco show ' Sarah had reached thb peak of her acting career after her success 1n the Sen1or Class Play The next program was 'The Groucho Marx Show ' The announcer told the audience that since Groucho had passed away Angelo V1gnaroli, a br1ll1ant actor, would be taklng h1s place We dec1ded to vis1t a dude ranch The hotel manager told us that there was a popular ranch three m1les out of Cheyenne We arrlved at the ranch only to d1scover Howard Schutt s1ng1ng a cowboy song and rou dlng up cattle He told us that he was taklng the place of Blng Crosby The people had qu1t swoon1ng over B1ng and now it was Howard That evening Larry Frantum arrlved He 1S now the Cert1f1ed Publlc Ac- countant for thelnter-Ocean Reassurance Company 1B Cedar Rapids His wife, who was formerly Marle Amls, would not be able to attend the reunlon because the tU1hS,L3PTy and Sherry, had the measles The next morn1ng we all boarded our plane and started for Hawai1 There happened to be an acc1dent 1n the rush to board the plane Russell ankle A woman who had seen the acc1dent rushed up to offer flrst a1d The woman was Mary Harker She 15 head of Nurses Tra1n1ng at Un1vers1ty of Iowa where Kerm1t is Instructor in Mechanical Engineerlng The plane had to make a flxght stop 1n San D1ego and our attentxon was turned to a brlght shiny l1mous1ne Two men stepped out of the car and at once we recog n1zed thelr faces It was Larry Sayles and jack Weeks They had a partnershlp 1n the Superette Lamous1ne Serv1ce wh1ch spec1al1zes 1n a new make of IIBOUSIHCS They boarded the plane to take the trip Hlth us Dale Battanl was one of the next persons we saw He was ru n1ng the Rocket Gas Stat1on where he refuels Rockets to Mars we arrlved at Hawaii and went to the nightclub where the reu 1on was to be held As we entered, the band was playing nMoonl1ght and Roses N A man s1tt1ng at a b1g table motloned to us We went over and who was s1tt1ng there but Jerry Dav1sson and his w1fe, the former Delores B10hd1C jerry 13 now County Extenslon D1rector at Iowa State College 1n Ames Delores has a full tlme Job car1ng for Jerry'Jr Ronald Day and Tom Newell were s1tt1ng talking l1ke two old college professors Ronald was tell lng of his experlences as Dean of Zoology at Notre Dame Tom was braggxng about h1s Ch1cago Bears wh1ch he coaches Martln Roby and Grace Anderson were d1scussing the old school days By the way, Grace Just came 1n from Seoul, Korea, where she 13 head nurse at the Misslon Hospital Martin 13 now manager of the Roby Seed Corn Company and he 13 working on a new d1s covery for better y1elding corn Now you can see that the motto of the 1954 Senlors was well chosen 'Today we fol low, tomorrow we lead ' . e ' ' Boyles, head of the Washington Printing Bureau, had missed his step and sprained his

The menu was as follows: Tomato juice Swiss Steak Mashed Potatoes Corn Perfection Salad Rolls Butter Coffee Cherry Pie a la Mode After everyone had eaten, a program was given- If 601135-S1505 Off Toastmaster Kenneth Bryant Remembrance in Roses...... .......... .Connie Ingels Orchids to the Juniors.. ...... . ....... Lucy Canarini Enchanting Evening. ..... . ......... ....Fred Heerema When the banquet had ended, everyone went to the school gym for the Prom. The gym was very beautifull! decorated in red and white streamers. The arch- ways were bordered in flowers. In the center of the floor there was a well dec- orated with flowers. A picket fence lined the stage on which tables were set. Decorations for the banquet and prom followed the theme of Moonlight and Roses.
