Friendship at WHS has always been a key ingredient. From the 1986-87 school picnic in August to the prom in April, new friendships have been made, and old friendships have been renewed. Through good times and bad, the buddies at WHS have always stuck together. From the expected to the often unexpected, we had fun times, hard times and just about every kind of time in between. Whether it was piling 10 people into a car and speeding to McDonalds, or meeting your friends roaming in the hall, thi, students were always finding new ways to enjoy life and being just friends. , 'I .H .L Abbott and Costello. Through term papers, semester tests, and never- ending homework, the students ALWAYS found plenty of time for downing around. Pep assemblies, homecom- ing weeks, and air bands are a few among the many great times we had. The graduating Seniors will never forget all of the fun spent at Woodward High School. Mental Interpretations of Neo-Dynamic Students was the original title selected for Woodward High School's writing club, although it soon evolved to simply being known as the M.I.N.D.S. - partially for simplicity and partially for prestige! The M.I.N.D.S. work to inspire amateur writers and to develop and improve their discipline and writing skills. The ex- pression of inner emotions, feelings, and creativity in writing are a few of the things that they strive to im- prove. Dreams of publication are shared by all the members, but each understands that writing profes- sionally is a goal to be set and not just a talent. The Boomers had their good moments along with their bad ones. This football team, however, will always be remembered. This year's Boomers played each game with incredible intensity and a desire to win. The fans and players will always remember the big plays, from flea flicker touchdowns and big fumble recoveries to 70-yard sweeps and last-minute field goals. The Boomers had a reputation of being hard-hitting. They made quarterbacks tremble, tailbacks suffer, and linebackers live in constant fear of the crack block. They played their hearts out against top-ranked Carl Albert, tough to the end, losing only on the scoreboard. That night the Boomers, led by ten proud seniors, proved to themselves that they could play with anyone in the state. They will be missed. Copy by Grant Sparks Boomers make another tackle!
